Clinician - Clinical Workflow

Trainers can use the following checklist when training a new counselor to ensure that the individual knows how to effectively use Sober Peer's Clinical Workflow.

• Log into Sober Peer

• If you are not already viewing the Clinical Workflow, navigate to the Clinical side of Sober Peer by hovering over your name in the top right and "Switch to Clinical".
• Create a new practice client.

• Update key records in the practice client's record by navigating to the key tabs on the left hand side including the following:

  • Demograhpic

  • Insurance

  • Medical History

  • Care Team

  • Forms

  • Authorizations

  • Screening Tools

  • Memo (as needed)

  • Assessment Tools

  • Medical Analysis

  • Service Lines

  • Lab Orders

Please note that depending on your organization's use of Sober Peer Clinical Workflow, you may not be required to update or complete each of the aforementioned items. Please consult your trainer or center admin for clarification about what is expected.

• Assign the required intake forms to the practice client. The exact forms that are required are specific to your organization.

• Create a initial appointment for the practice client on the Appointments tab.

  
• Document the appointment under the Notes tab. Notice that all notes must be signed by a supervisor if the counselor is not already designated as a supervisor.

  
• Assign a Screening Tool survey to the practice client. Please note, as soon as the client completes the screening tool, you'll be able to view that results immediately.

  
• Create a treatment plan on the Treatment Plans tab.

• Discharge the client.
