Allowed Small Group Topics for Publishing on Sober Peer
Small Groups published on Sober Peer's page must be focused on some aspect, stage, or part of the recovery process. Small groups can also be focused on supporting the friends or family of those going through the recovery process.
Pre-Requisites for Launching a Group
In order for a leader or co-leader to launch a small group in order to start the group, three pre-requisites must be met.
At least 1 person is enrolled in the group.
The small group is under 1-hour before the start time.
The group is active.
Once these 3 pre-requisites are met, then a blue “Launch Meeting” button will appear on the Small Group page.
Inviting New Members
Inviting a user to join your group takes just a moment. Navigate to the small group page from the Admin tab, then scroll down to the list of Users. To send a new invitation, click the blue "Send Invitation" button and select the user from the pop up page.
Published vs Un-Published Groups
Advertising a Direct Link to Your Small Group
Small Group Leaders can share a direct link to possible participants to allow them to register. Every small group has a direct link created at the time of small group creation. That means even a private, un-published group has a direct link created that leaders can use to share on social media, via email, etc to attract participants. The direct link is located just over halfway down on the Small Group page.
